| What is "Black Hat SEO"? |

As search engines have terms and condition, SEO companies that perform SEO tasks to a website against the terms and conditions of the search engines they perform what is called “black hat SEO”. Some SEO companies guarantee some unimaginable results in terms of the SEO industry, (and sometimes achieve them) for the company just to find out later that their site is banned. If this should ever happen to a company, one needs to understand that removing a website from banned status is extremely hard and sometimes impossible. When “black hat SEO” tactics are employed it means that the search engines are against such tactics and it is only a matter of time before they find out. The problem “black hat SEO tactics” is the risk associated with having the website banned or de-ranked. Even though some “back hat SEO” tactics may achieve some results that otherwise are not possible in any other way or time span, it always carries the risk of being found out sooner or later and then having to deal with a far bigger problem that just fixing the SEO. Google doesn’t ban a site for minor technicalities, it has to be major breach of terms and conditions and when this happens, google doesn’t just allow the site to go back on the searches even if the problem is fixed.                                 |
